Triashill Handover of Ablution Block
On the 17th of April 2017, the Rotary Club of Harare Central, Zimbabwe and the Rotary Club of Luzern-Seetal, Switzerland handed over an ablution block to Traishill Mission Hospital for the maternity wing. This block will help change the lives of expectant mothers who had blair toilets, no running water, no lights and who had to walk at least 600m sometimes in the dark and in the rain. The finished prestine block houses at least 4 toilets, a bath tub, 3 showers with running water. From the savings of the original budget facilitated a borehole that was flushed, re-cased with a 5000 litre tank and all connections were made possible by the hard work of the committed Rotarians at least 247km away from the beneficiaries.
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND CONSUMABLES FOR RURAL CLINICS AND HOSPITALS: Future
The Rotary Club of Harare Central recently re-engaged Brother’s Brother Foundation, a Pittsburgh-based international charity in a project to provide rural clinics and hospitals in Mashonaland Central and East Provinces with medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, textbooks and consumables. It however seeks a club/clubs to partner with in the shipment of the donations to Zimbabwe.
