In partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Burnham Beeches Slough, England, RIBI District 1090; York, England, RIBI District 1040; Delray Beach, Florida, District 6930; New Tampa, Florida, District 6890; Conyers, Georgia, District 6910; Lüchow-Dannenberg and Burg-Genthin in Germany, District 1800, the Rotary Club of Harare Central is currently embarking on a project that aims to improve the literacy skills of more than 12,000 scholars at 48 primary schools in Shamva District of rural Mashonaland Central Province. Most students in the province fail their middle school qualification examinations as a result of a poor command of English, which is the language they are tutored in all subjects except local languages. To date, the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches has donated £2,600.00 with York chipping in  £100, for the purchase of dictionaries and atlases. The Rotary Club of New Tampa purchased publications worth $600.00, while Delray Beach and Conyers chipped in with $833.00 and $2,000.00 respectively. Lüchow-Dannenberg and Burg-Genthin are currently fundraising for a global grant to purchase more publications.

In partnership with Book Aid International, the Rotary Club of Harare Central and other Rotary Clubs in Northern and Eastern Zimbabwe, identified disadvantaged nurse training mission and provincial hospitals. These will receive over 1,000 brand new medical text and reference books for Primary Care and Registered General Nurses as well as Midwives. The books were handed over in March 2017 to celebrate Rotary Literacy Month.
